Welcome to the web site for Sunderland Basketball Club.
We are pleased to say
that for the forthcoming 2010/2011 season, the Club has joined with the University of Sunderland and the City of Sunderland College to offer a full range of basketball opportunities in the area.
The University will continue to offer
student basketball in competition with other universities and colleges whilst at the same time running two teams plus a ladies
team in the Durham basketball league. The College will run a student team for local and regional intra-college games. There will also be two teams entered
into the Tynemet basketball league which will provide opportunities for non-student players as well as integrating hopefully some University and College
players into one of these teams.
This is a very exciting development for the sport in the area. We will
have the use of the fantastic new sports hall, City Space, at the Universitys' main city centre campus, as our home venue.
Fixtures have now been more or less finalised,
although subject to change as the season proceeds. The currrent position is shown on the appropriate page. Any changes will
be shown clearly, but those involved will be told directly.
